![]() ![]() Other than the bank and conversion charges, not a great deal of difference between Credit Card or cash purchases. If you have a huge outstanding on your card this may hurt you as well. Before you travel just check with your card issuing bank the available limits for you - they may have updated regulations on this. You would only pay the currency conversion charges by your bank, no extra charges in UAE - exceptions being some retailers in jewellery or electronics charging extra 1 to 2% for using a Credit Card. Funds may be delayed or services unavailable based on certain transaction conditions, including amount sent, destination country, currency availability, regulatory issues, identification requirements, Agent location hours, differences in time zones, or selection of delayed options. Yes you can use your Credit Card, Mastercard or Visa are mostly well accepted anywhere in UAE. So your best option is to go to an Exchange house in your town (or a bank, though bank rates may be a bit less advantageous for you). There are some exchange houses in UAE that may accept INR, but this practice is slowly diminishing. Legally you may not be able to carry INR cash outside India, except a small amount for incidental expenses. ![]()
